Working on portfolio pieces and noticed that I don't have much in the way of animal characters, so I thought I'd try to fix that by the end of this week. Had no idea what I wanted to do, so took Raul's suggestion of CAT and ran with it. Started by drawing some studies from W. Ellenberger, D. Dittrich and H. Baum's Atlas of Animal Anatomy for Artists and sketching from photos I took at Auckland Zoo and found by googling just to get the idea of how the kitty worked before I started playing with shapes, etc. More pages to come as I wrap up kitty today/tomorrow. Good stuffs.
